Waiting, a lady in waiting, holding a cup of tea and sipping in rhythm, one sip after the other, small sips, sips dipped according to an orchestral song like fingers on a piano keyboard or fingers texting sliding over the screen on your iPhone.
Deeply breathing then shallowly breathing, counting up to ten in your mind, key into your body as it rests, looking around you at sites that are comforting, leaning on one leg. Leaning on one leg and supporting the weight of your body on a wall, one arm holding you up. On one leg only, resting the other. Remembering The Amidah, singing it softly to yourself, resting on one leg as we daven The Amidah to God, we will return to the Earth as dust after we die. Now to choose life, always to choose life over all other states of being. God getting closer now, as you seek humility.
Lonely? Want to talk to someone while you are waiting, no one to talk to? Talk to God as you patiently wait, ask Him where He is, try to find Him in your location, looking around, seeing a bright golden light, brighter than all the other lights, blink your eyes and the light becomes a light green in color, remembering your kitty cat who had light green eyes. Soft, purring, sitting on your lap, protecting you, lapping up pure, reflective Divine light, slurping up white milk with a furry rough tongue.
Stretch your upper body, flex your shoulders, turn around your head and lean back, again to talk to the Lord, just say, "Hello, where are You?"
Feeling the body go into a meditative calmness, your body easing, listening to the sounds of silence, no sounds you do not want to hear, put your fingers up to your forehead, three fingers of your right hand and sing the "Shema, Hear Israel," and unify yourself with all around you then becoming God everywhere you look, smell, touch, hear, everything as ONE, ONE God, ONE nation under ONE God.
You have successfully waited, now to go merrily on your way.
